The Office of A High Priest

  The Office of a High Priest in the Old Testament (Hebrews 5:1-4): A high priest is chosen among men and appointed before God to represent the people.  He must be qualified to serve in God's ministry and  understand how to approach God on behalf of humankind.  His ordination by God means he is called to serve the people of God in matters related to the Almighty. The Story of the woman at the well: Woman of Sychar Ministry comes from the story of the Woman at Jacob’s well in John 4:4-42. The Samaritan Woman of Sychar comes to the well, and Jesus, a Jew, asks her for a drink of water. In those times, it was not proper for a man to speak openly to an unknown woman, nor was it deemed appropriate for a Jew to talk to a Samaritan.
